so, most of the time i really like our dog, kerby. he's big and stupid and goofy, but we love him anyway. usually.

HOWEVER, i just spent the last 2 hours making 2 home made pizzas for the potluck tomorrow.. entirely home made. the crust, the sauce.. cooked and chopped all the toppings, layered 'em up and everything.. cooked and left them on the counter to cool down..

walked out of the kitchen for 5 minutes to go do baby duty, come back and A WHOLE ENTIRE PIZZA PLUS HALF OF THE OTHER ONE is GONEEEEE!!! o.o gone gone gone.. a few green peppers sprinkled on the floor is all that remains.. and a very fat, very guilty looking kerby.

i'd like to get mad.. but it really wouldn't do any good. i spanked him and told him he was bad and put him outside..

but it sure feels like a great big waste of 2 hours and a bunch of groceries i just bought at the store!

hadn't posted for awhile and i'm procrastonating going to bed, mmmfun.

i had something interesting to say earlier but i forgot. i do that a lot and it's annoying. le SIGH.

i'm gonna be 23 on groundhogs day.. that seems old to me. i think my brain got stuck at 21..

annie's doing very well :} she aced her 2 month doc appointment.. she was in the 98th percentile for height and weight.. big girl! healthy..

OH i remember! it was some photos i wanted to post.. that'd take too long though. i'll do it tomorrow maybe :D i'm so smart. i remember things!!

i still hug and kiss (on the cheek, you perv) my parents every time i tell them goodbye in person..
i see alot of folks hug their parents goodbye, but i'm the only one that i know that still passes out the little parting peck.. not even my brother or sister do it. it's just something i've done since i was little, and never grew out of the habit..

i only just now hopped on the american idol bandwagon.. Okay~

Sienna Rose Meuser was born sunday night, 11-12-06 at 8:45..
she weighed 8lbs and 1 oz, and was 21 inches long!

She has sandy blond hair and blue eyes (wheeere did the blond hair come from???)..
of course I think she's cute, but really! She's cute :D

I was only in labor a grand total of 4 hours, which was both a blessing and a curse...
a blessing obviously cause it was all over with fast (according to the nurses.. if you ask me it was about 4 hours too long) a curse because it was too fast for any kind of pain medication.

OWIE. yeah. okay you know on the movies when a lady has a baby and she's screamin' her fool head off????
that's not an exaggeration o.o I'm normally a very calm, very quiet, very controlled person.. but when it came time to push that baby's head through someplace that was NEVER EVER meant to stretch that big.. OHMYGOSH x.o i wanted to die. i wanted to pass out and wake up someplace else. i wanted to quit! i told the nurses that and they laughed at me!

but now it's all over... and i feel soooooooooo much better... better than i've felt in.. gee, 9 months? holy cow!
i have a flat tummy again! this alone is like.. wow! hehehehe *dork*

anyway i'll try and get some pictures up soon... just pawned Annie off on jared for awhile so i could check on the intarwebs..

THEN i took the "how much attention did you pay in highschool?" test that's floating around LJ...

jared and i had our one year wedding anniversary on the 30th...
they say the first year is the hardest (?).. i can say we never did get in a fight. a few arguments and disagreements, but no shouting, no namecalling, and no one spending the night on the couch ;}

in the midst of work and housecleaning and getting pregnant and just.. life.. it's easy to let that "in love" kind of feeling go by the wayside. the honeymoon is over, as they say.

last night for the first time since we'd been married, jared wasn't there in bed with me. he went on a rock climbing trip with his brother up in the woods.
i near started crying when i came to sleep in an empty bed! i realized how much i really do miss him, and how much i still love him. the feelings never went away, they just got buried with life's crap.

anyway, it was nice. even though i was being pregnant and over-emotional, it made me happy that i'm still so attached to him :P

ohhhhhhhh and we named our little girl. Sienna Rose. has my middle name ^^ (whooooo by the way is getting bigger and stronger and has gotten into the habit of doing some kind of scottish polka on my bladder at 3am. dear lord that kid is active o.o)

yes, you knew two artists were going to name their child after colors...

buh! I just quit my job! It was something I probably should have done long ago.. the only reason why I was staying was because I had our insurance through them.. and lord knows that's come in handy with all the recent doctor's bills and crap. Ummm...
but it feels so weird. I'll miss the store, and miss the people a lot.. worked in the same place with the same folks for a year and a half.. it's hard to just break a habit like that! they were like a second family.. we had our squabbles and our christmas and everything. there were times that store was a sanctuary to me..
but with this pregnancy, it just flat wipes me out. Half the time I show up hours late or.. not at all.. and then when i'm there, I'm no use to anyone cause I don't feel good. it just seems stupid to continue. when i stay home i feel better.. i can relax and take things at my own pace and eat when I need to.. I throw up a lot less :P

Sooooooooo... I'm home now.. and while i still have the whole house to keep up on and meals to fix every night, I have a lot of time that just opened up to me, which I plan on filling with some long, LONG overdue art. Art, how I've missed you!! i nearly cried when I dug through my acrylics and realized some of them had dried up from not being used. tragic!!!

and then, my surgery story! I told a few folks.. but here's what happened:

about 3 weeks ago now, I woke up with KILLER PAIN in my lower abdenom. I mean killer... like, sitting down and walking made me cry out, and using the toilet was torture. I thought maybe it was some satanic bladder infection or something, so my mom drove me to my OBGYN.. who ran a urine test, which came back clean. wtf?? then after poking around and making me cry, he decided it was a hernia. one that needed operating on. that day. ... which made me cry even more.. dude i hate being so emotional :P
sooooooo.. that was around 2pm.. by 5pm i was in nothing but one of those stupid gowns with an IV jabbed in my wrist and talking about how they were gonna put me under. They decided on a spinal, instead of totally knocking me out, because it was safer for the baby. OH YES lets not forget, here I am 5 months pregnant.. which wasn't helping things!
that was fun. that medication hit me and i didn't care anymore that i was naked with a bunch of strange men staring at me that were about to cut me open. they put up the little curtain so I couldn't watch.. but i could hear them. called for a scalpel.. "oops, we've got a bleeder, here!" but i was soooo high i didn't care. it was funny. they said i was telling them stories and cracking jokes and kept asking them how it was going and if they were having fun. hehe.
well anyway, they open me up, and lo and behold, no hernia! Instead, we find a tumor.. shaped like a mushroom and 5 inches across. BIG tumor! they whack that baby off and staple me back together..

Had to spend the night in the hospital, which i hated. took me a good 3 days before i was really feeling myself again and could easily walk around and do stuff. ended up with a 6 inch incision.. and since the tumor was growing on my euterus, they had to cut through a lot of layers to get to it.

I'm fine now. Nothing left but a scar.. complete recovery.. in fact, at my one week check-up, my doctor commented that I was a fast healer. I almost blurted, "well, werewolves heal fast." hah!

okay here's the weird part - no one knows why the tumor was there. It wasn't cancerous or anything.. it was just there. It was also extremely fast. I had my ultrasound 2 weeks prior to the whole incident, and at that time, it wasn't there at ALL. It grew to 5 inches in less than two weeks! scary! growing so fast, it was running out of blood and dying, which is why it hurt like the dickens.

Okay, for everyone who's doing a sketchy-trade with me..
at home i'm putting together a character sheet for miss nova, which, imo, really can't be beat as far as referencing goes. I'm a very visual person and i'd much rather have a picture than a description...
but since that's not done yet, I thought i'd post a written reference.

Nova is, before anything else, an arctic wolf.

She has 3 forms she can shift between, Wolf, Were, and Winged. In all of them, however, her markings remain the same. She's entirely white, but has a duskier shade of white on her back, down to her nose, across her shoulders and thighs, and at the base of her tail. She has two V shaped black markings - one on her back at the shoulderblades, and one near the tip of her tail. She has sweeping, arched black eyebrows, and black tearmarks that start on the outside corners of her eyes and extend down her cheeks. Her ears are tufted (like a lynx) and tipped in black. Her pawpads and toenails are black. Hey eyes are slate blue.. the color of a stormy sky.

In her wolf form she looks and acts like a normal wolf. She's large as wolves go, weighing in at around 140 lbs.

In her Were form, she has the ability to walk on either 2 or four legs. When she runs on only two legs, she has a stride and posture very similar to prehistoric raptors. She does NOT run like a human! (it's a pet peeve of mine.. jogging werewolves o.o) When rising to her full height, she's about 8 feet tall.
Her claws are longer and more prominent as a were, and her front feet become more hand-like. Her dewclaws become thumbs. Her hind feet and ankles are larger, proportionally, to give her better support and balance as a biped. Her elbow joints on her forelegs are moved down, more similar to a human's. Her canine teeth are longer. Her ears grow taller and jackal-like. She has tufts of fur at her elbows, along the backs of her thighs, and at her hocks.

In her Winged from, she is essentially the same as her Were form, but with wings and a lot of random feathers added. :D
Her wingshape is similar to a raven's. Her primaries are very prominent in flight. Her wings are a pure, snow white on the undersides, and the same dusky-white on the backs. Her primaries and the coverlet feathers on her back are tipped in black. She has a very disorderly crest of feathers which start at her forehead and extend down her back to her shoulderblades. These are also tipped in black. She has a V of feathers tucked into the fur on her chest, the largest of these tipped in black. The only other place she has feathers is at the base of her tail; the closer they're set to her tail, the longer they are, and, you guessed it, tipped in black. :D

She has a familiar, a raven named Pirch. He looks like any other raven.. his only identifying qualities are that he's missing two front toes on his left foot.

onto the salt tank! For anyone that knows or cares... it's a 36 gallon bowfront.. I used live sand & live rock, and hope to get some corals soon. I just got my compact flourescents not even a week ago, so I can finally support corals with it :} I've one powerhead just for current & extra oxygen in the water, a 50 gallon canister filter, and a cute little skimmer. As for stock, there's one purple tank (who's very rude and rules the tank...typical tang), a cherry blenny, a skunk cleaner shrimp (like the one from finding nemo), half a dozen hermit crabs, 2 snails, 5 yellow tail damsels (left over from cycling), and two yellow striped maroon clowns.
I would really, really love a mandarin but my tank's too new.. I'm afraid he'd starve. Anyway, onto the photos -

I'm bummed about my fish though. I have (had) 3 goldfish and 3 koi... all like 7-8 inches, all I've had since they were babies. I know they're just fish, but I'm attached them. I've had them forever. But they've far outgrown their tank and I really can't justify buying a bigger one just for some goldfish. o.o I've been putting off doing something about it until yesterday... the smallest goldfish up and died and now I know it's time. A good friend is taking them for me... they're going in his pond, and I know he'll take really good care of them because his fish SPAWN :D
and they only do that if they're healthy and happy.
but I'm still sad. They swim up to the glass when they see me and are like "blub.. hi mom, do we get fed now?"
anyway... when they go I'm making the jump to saltwater. hurrah. it's just a little 36 bowfront, but I bet it could be neat.
